Passage no. 262 Faerie Garden Antique Key Necklace
"A glimpse beyond foliage shrouded gates reveals radiant blossoms, some that colorshift, some that seem to blur under your gaze. Fruits hang heavy and shimmering, as though frostbitten, though ripe as August could bring.
Temptation all around, beauty in light and shadow.
Dare you indulge?"

Authentic antique skeleton key, adorned in swirling antiqued silver wire and multihued, iridescent glass beads.

Last photo shows size compared to U.S quarter.
Presented on matching chain.

The Maiden of Bramblewood Pond Cuff Bracelet
"Some days, at dusk, when the setting sun sends rays through densely twining branches, or at dawn when the mist twines through the few spaces between, you might see her...flowing ebony hair, adorned with bronze and scarlet, gown of blue-green velvet, sweeping behind her. "

I find inspiration in skeletal winter trees against sunset skies, lichens, islands, the hues of the sea…

I have always been a magpie, an observer, relishing the intangible aspects, the wonder of life on this Earth. In my teen years, I learned basic jewelry techniques, stringing and beadwork. I longed to capture the many beautiful pieces of nature that inspired me so, and wire was the natural form to do so. I began playing with wire in 2003, and haven't stopped.

Sojourn Curiosities specializes in sculpted wire, mixed-media jewelry. I think of my work as part art, part artifact~ inspired by nature, fantasy and the Victorian era. My collections range from simple, sweet designs to show-stopping, heirloom quality jewelry. My pieces are built around antique keys, sea glass and china, vintage buttons, and found natural materials, such as shells and stones.

I have been designing antique key jewelry with my signature wrapping style since 2006. In addition, I continue to evolve and find new takes on this collection, ranging from incorporating pieces of nature, to roses to conveying different themes.

Each piece of jewelry I create will take you on a journey, to another place or time. I hope to capture the intangible, inspire a sense of wonder with my work. Each piece has a story to tell.
Hey Guys.

Long time no see!

I was busy. I had my son, Rheiner, on April 15th, and since then, things have been a whirlwind.

I am starting to be able to sneak into the studio, especially when my husband is home, so *do* stay tuned, new things are coming. Starting today!

I love your keys! Very beautiful! Where do you get your flower beads from? I work with stained glass and would love to incorporate them.

Have you ever made a tutorial on how to do the loops that you make? I've looked and looked and can't find one anywhere. I'd love to learn how to make them properly.

I came by it through experimentation over the past 20 years. I wouldn't know how to teach it and I also love the concept of a jewelry artist trying basic techniques and developing a unique style. Lots and lots of tutorials out there on the internet.
