Hey Guys.

Long time no see!

I was busy. I had my son, Rheiner, on April 15th, and since then, things have been a whirlwind.

I am starting to be able to sneak into the studio, especially when my husband is home, so *do* stay tuned, new things are coming. Starting today!

Well, this summer has been beautiful. I got married, enjoyed two receptions and a huge party with friends and family, as well as honeymooned in Montreal and Quebec City.

Now, I'm back to the shop and my mind is turning to the autumn months ahead.

In the shop now are 8 items previewing one of my fall collections, "Bittersweet."

Enjoy!
Later this afternoon I will have the update ready to go. Expect two Twilight Forest trees, 2 pearl baubled vintage keys, and a frostbitten leaf in winter hues with pearl.

I've got a new blog, friends!

It is called Little Cabin.
There I will share what's new with Sojourn Curiosities, the adventures I go on, and the small things in life that undeniably make it so wonderful.

I hope that you will follow me there!

p.s. New works will still be posted here as deviations, but I plan to use Little Cabin for all my blog posts from here on out.
Yes. AGAIN! This time, it will stick for a short while, and impact travel, and possibly POWER!

we are in the 5-8" zone for overnight tomorrow into Sunday!
A teensy bit of SNOW is likely overnight Thursday. If it stays long enough for me to see it when I wake, I'll be ecstatic!
Hi Friends!

I've changed my mode a little, and instead of adding to the shop a teeny bit here and there when I can, I will be making one nicely sized update a week.

So here's what's coming in tomorrow's shop update:

Labradorite, Maine sea china, keys and keyholes and druzy agate (a la Ice Cave.) [link]
Some would turn an eye to winter, this mid-October day. Clearance sales on autumn goods shout from signs, and holiday cards are already turning up on drugstore endcaps.

Here in Maine, it is just starting to feel like autumn. In the shade, long sleeves alone won't due, while the sun still holds strength in the warmest part of the day. Nights, lately, and weekend mornings, we always blaze up the woodstove. PJs are decidedly of the flannel and thermal variety, now, and my scarf and gloves wait each day in the car, *should* I need them.

A pumpkin bought weeks ago finally feels like it should be carved. What form will it take this year? I eagerly await that first blast of morning cold that stays through the day, to need my scarf and gloves whenever I am outdoors. The magic of Halloween night creeps closer. With it come distant memories of small feet scuffling down town sidewalks, starry skies and countless goodies.

What are you loving, right now? What can't you wait to love this autumn?
I can't wait to show you what's on the way. Think wings, the mystery of the sea, and autumn leaves, all touched with fae iridescence.
I'm back from Germany. Man, was it amazing!

The summer has flown by. It's hard to believe that we are having our furnace cleaned, and school starts up again for me next week.

I can't wait for autumn, and all the magic and beauty it possesses. Keep an eye out for new goodies coming soon!

Happy April Everyone!
The presents are long unwrapped, now a part of our daily lives. The Christmas tree, the long-staying harbinger of the season, has been taken out to a summer burn pile. All of the trappings of holiday-time are gone, and yet this winter seems to grow ever more perfect, week by week.

Certainly, this is the snowiest winter that I can recall since childhood. The snow falls, and it stays, layer upon layer altering the cartography of our backyard. Our homespun sled-racing trails are fun until they get covered over by a new storm, and then we begin the joyful toil of forming them again. Twinkle lights draped from the trees above the racing trails now touch our heads when we walk beneath, boosted ever closer by numerous snowfalls.

Amidst the flurry of snow days, snowshoeing,
snowboarding, and other SNOWY things, I have also been at the work table, creating some pieces that bring a bit of summer to mind. Sea glass, sea pottery, and the occasional key, too. Check out the shop, and see what's new! [link]
I love Holly Black, I like Melissa Marr. I do not really care for Cassandra Clare.

What other authors should I check out?
Hello, everyone!

I've been absent for entirely too long. Teaching, tutoring and life, in general have deterred me from the intense making/sharing/selling regimen.

I miss it here, and hope to be back with some new creations soon. Thoughts on the types of items you'd like to see?

In the meantime, the Sojourn Curiosities Shop  is still quite overflowing with lovely pieces, and I'm glad to set up custom orders!
